WESTIN HOTEL PERSONAL RESIDENCE REMODEL

Tucked inside the Westin Hotel in Edina, this privately owned condo presented a one-of-a-kind remodeling challenge - and we were here for every bit of it. Working alongside Andrea Rose Design Co., we transformed the entire space: a full kitchen remodel, three bathrooms, and two bedrooms, all within the unique constraints of a luxury high-rise. One of the homeowners uses a wheelchair, so we purpose-built a bathroom designed specifically around their needs - because great design should work beautifully for everyone. The kitchen island is the most complex we've ever built, and it came with a fun twist: its size was determined by the largest slab of stone we could fit in the service elevator. The outlets in the backsplash were even painted to match the stone — a small detail that makes you stop and look twice.

The bathrooms are where this project truly shines. The primary bath features a stunning 10-foot lighted niche that runs continuously through the shower and over the soaking tub — a design element that's as dramatic as it is serene. The powder bath makes its own statement with a sculptural waterfall sink that feels more like art than fixture. This project is a testament to what's possible when creative design and precise craftsmanship come together in a space with real constraints.
